Immature development and survival of Neoseiulus cucumeris (Oudemans) (Acari: Phytoseiidae) on eggs of Tyrophagus curvipenis (Fain & Fauvel) (Acari: Acaridae)

Establishment and maintenance of the natural enemy are critical for successful biological control pests on plants without alternative food predators. Great efforts have been devoted to exploring suitable supplementary In this study, we evaluated feasibility using Tyrophagus curvipenis (Fain Fauvel) (Acari: Acaridae) as a source Neoseiulus cucumeris (Oudemans) Phytoseiidae) by investigating survival development N. at different prey densities with influence conspecifics. Furthermore, investigated predation rates their body size adult emergence. The results showed that developed from egg in approximately six days. Survival immature predators increased significantly given density. No significant difference was found between survived adults fed density, but females were always larger than males. To conclude, T. can be an excellent agent cucumeris.
